Over 200 scientists, practitioners, and decision-makers gathered to exchange ideas and explore solutions on how to\u00a0#resist<\/a><\/a>,\u00a0#adapt<\/a><\/a>, learn, and\u00a0#transform<\/a><\/a> our coastal and urban environments under the growing pressures of #climatechange<\/a><\/a>,\u00a0#sealevelrise<\/a><\/a>, and\u00a0#urbanization<\/a><\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Facing such a global\u00a0#challenge<\/a><\/a>\u00a0requires\u00a0#innovation<\/a><\/a>, actionable strategies, and social\u00a0#inclusion<\/a><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Within this framework, the CORILA team \u2013 represented by the Managing Director Pierpaolo Campostrini and the Senior Environmental researcher Francesca Coccon \u2013 shared insights on the #restoration<\/a><\/a>\u00a0efforts and\u00a0#monitoring<\/a><\/a>\u00a0activities currently underway in the\u00a0#VeniceLagoon<\/a><\/a>, in collaboration with SELC Societ\u00e0 Cooperativa, under the REST-COAST project.<\/p>\n

These initiatives aim to counteract\u00a0#erosion<\/a><\/a>, enhance\u00a0#biodiversity<\/a><\/a>\u00a0and strengthen\u00a0#ecosystem<\/a><\/a>\u00a0services associated to the lagoon precious habitats, through a\u00a0#participatoryapproach<\/a><\/a>\u00a0that brings together\u00a0#stakeholders<\/a><\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0#scientists<\/a><\/a>\u00a0and key\u00a0#decisionmakers<\/a><\/a>.<\/p>\n

What clearly emerged from this event is the importance of\u00a0#learning<\/a><\/a>\u00a0by doing and the power of\u00a0#collaboration<\/a><\/a>\u00a0in planning and implementing actions to shape a more resilient future.<\/p>\n
